If you hang aroung on Saint-Jean street you will definitely pass by the St-Alexandre pub, an English pub.
One day after a visit of the Old Town I went there to celebrate St. Patrick’s day. I had the opportunity to taste for the first time the green beer, which is nothing special except the color.
Inside the pub the atmosphere and the setting are similar to what can be found in other English or Irish pubs.
From Wednesday to Saturday the place offers live music of jazz, folk pop or blues. You’d better not be on the floor if you want to enjoy the show.
On the menu there is a great choice of beers, local (St. Ambroise, Fin du monde) or imported (Belgium, Ireland, England, France). To go with your drink you can have for example boards of charcuterie or cheese, or even a plate of nachos.
